GET TO KNOW CHELSEA MEISSNER

It feels really good to be in the same room with Chelsea Meissner.  You may know Chelsea from Bravo TV's Southern Charm.  Her down-to-earth nature is magnetic and warm.  She is funny, honest, naturally alluring and unpretentious.

I first met Chelsea in April of 2012 when she came to Greenville, S.C. to participate in the 2012 Goodwill Mud Run.  Chelsea was a finalist on Season 24 of CBS Survivor:  One World which wrapped filming in late 2011 and my roommate was a cast member on the same season so I consider myself to be very lucky that our paths crossed.  My first "official" photo shoot with Chelsea was for TALK Greenville Magazine's April 2012 cover and inside fashion spread and since then we have had numerous photo shoots together but our most recent shoot in March 2020 takes the cake.

Here are 12 Questions I asked Chelsea along with her answers and some highlight images from our latest shoot.  Enjoy!

JN:  Chelsea, what is your favorite thing about being a woman?

CM:  To be honest, I don't love being a woman.  It's actually really hard and I don't think I'm very good at it.

JN:  What is one of your favorite movies and why?

CM:  My all-time favorite movie is Forrest Gump.  The Lowcountry scenery in the movie reminds me of home and the sound track is incredible.

JN:  What character trait is most attractive in a man?

CM:  A man who is selfless.

JN:  What is the most unexpected thing about being on a television show that you can only find out by being on a television show?

CM:  "Reality television" isn't quite reality.

JN:  What, in your opinion, is one of the most beautiful words in the English language?

CM:  Untethered.

JN:  If you could have the ability to move objects without touching them (telekinesis) or quantum leap forward or backward in time to alter the future or the past, which would you choose and why?

CM:  I would love to take a trip back in time to see what the world was like in all different eras.  Mostly the 50's.. Some of my favorite music came from the 1950's.

JN:  Who is your greatest inspiration?

CM:  My mom.. She's been a fighter her entire life and never gave up when times got super tough.  I admire her strength.

JN:  Who do you think is the most attractive celebrity (male or female / inner or outer beauty and/or both)?

CM:  I've had a crush on Kelly Slater for a very long time.

JN:  Do you have a favorite number?  If so, can you share that number and why it is your favorite?

CM:  My favorite number is the number 2.  It was my dad's softball number and became the family number.  I wore a necklace with a number 2 charm on it during Survivor for a little extra strength and comfort.

JN:  Would you ever date a "fan"?  Why or why not?

CM:  No.. I'd rather someone get to know me who hasn't seen an edited version on television.

JN:  What three things would your "perfect day" include?

CM:  Surfing, fishing and time with my loved ones.

JN:  What is one thing about you that no one would guess but that you wish people knew?

CM:  I'm an introvert and need my alone time to refuel.

UNTIL NEXT TIME..
